I was in London last week for a workshop, huddled in a room at the London Knowledge Lab with a bunch of cartoonists, academics, and writers brought together by the Electricomics cause. The day was organized by project manager Leah Moore and lead researchers Daniel Goodbrey and Alison Gazzard, and involved a lot of sitting in a circle and talking, followed by a lot of sitting in a circle and playing with top-secret digital comics software. It was a wicked great day. I can't say much more at this point, but when Alison finishes punching up her account of everything we discovered through our research, I will be sure to inform the lot of you.
Next on the docket: holiday pub scrawls. I spent the first week of the new year in the southeast of France with friends, and after one glorious evening of walking up the Grenoble bastille we retreated to a pub with a lot of Belgian ale on tap. As is my wont, I took to sketching on the coasters.
