There was a lot of that going around the first Kelowna Comic Jam today, because everything that ended up on paper was wacky, twisted, and more than a touch absurd. Perfection, in other words. We had a blast slinging ink late into the afternoon, laughing, passing pages around the table at The Alternator and chuckling at the antics of our characters. The Implements from Clue escaped and set out of their own accord, only to discover severe emotional baggage; a frustrated director makes an epic about a village defending itself from a menacing aerial salad moth (yes, you read that correctly); and Hank, the monster under the bed, attends to his...duties. With the inspirational assistance of a word generator we plumbed the depths of the absurd, and boy did we have a blast. Not to mention, we churned out some 9 full pages of art, and several partials. In colour! I was impressed. We're there again next week; if you happen to be in the area, please, come join in the madness!
